General information

An ancient city, Wroclaw has been part of Poland, Bohemia, Austria, Prussia and Germany. It is the fourth largest city in Poland and the largest city in the south-western region of Silesia, with a population of around 650,000. Situated on the banks of the Odra, it is a unique city situated on 12 islands linked by 112 bridges.

Called “the flower of Europe”, the city has a rich multicultural and multinational history, shown in it’s people and buildings. With theatres, museums, galleries, concert halls, an opera house, restaurants, pubs, bars and discos, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Only 170km from the geographical centre of Europe, Wroclaw is easily reached from most European countries and has an international airport just 10km outside the city. A friendly city, Wroclaw welcomes you.
